Dream Players Productions' summer 2010 musical:
Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida!

Aida is a contemporary musical take on the grand classic tale of the love between a soldier and an enslaved princess – a love that condemns them to death, but ultimately transcends the vast cultural differences between the two warring nations, heralding an unprecedented time of peace and prosperity.

With a pop-rock score that features stirring ballads and rousing choral numbers, this show requires a cast of motivated and dedicated performers to carry the dramatic narrative of a love formed through the hostility of warfare. Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA is a modern crowd pleaser that embraces multi-cultural casting and exuberant dancing, staging and singing. Our program is designed to accommodate both seasoned performers and students who are new to the stage.

Performers of all ethnicities are strongly encouraged to audition. Casting is completely open—meaning we will consider all performers (regardless of race) for every role!!!

This is a tuition-based educational theatre program.

      DREAM PLAYERS PRODUCTIONS' CONFLICT POLICY
We strongly recommend that you plan your extended family vacation after the show is over. It is very difficult to produce a quality show if we have numerous cast members missing a lot of rehearsals due to summer vacations. The staff does not have time to re-teach blocking and dances that they have missed. Part of Dream Players Productions commitment to you is to provide a positive learning experience and this is difficult to accomplish if attendance is poor. Every cast member is important and there is a hole when they are missing. Please read our conflict policy and look at the dates we have posted in order to make a well-informed decision before participating in one of our summer productions.
Rehearsal times will vary from one role to another as rehearsals are scheduled around scenes. Therefore, some participants will rehearse more often than other participants. ADVICE: Please do not wait until the last minute to order your music online and/or from a local store. It often takes a couple of weeks for shipping. Also—we strongly suggest practicing/reviewing your sheet music with a pianist before your audition. Do not assume the CD/Radio version of your song is the same as your sheet music. Dream Players Productions NEW SUMMER MUSICAL FOR 2010----
Elton John and Tim Rice’s
AIDA!!!

Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA is a contemporary musical take on the grand classic tale of the love between a soldier and an enslaved princess – a love that condemns them to death, but ultimately transcends the vast cultural differences between the two warring nations, heralding an unprecedented time of peace and prosperity.

Students ages 8-21 are eligible to audition.

Visit our website often for additional audition and production details.

Auditions are scheduled for the weekend of April 16, 2010!!

Audition Requirements
The audition process for the vocal program is simple. Our auditions are a forum to get acquainted with you, hear your voice, and determine your placement in our program. Choose a solo that you like. Songs need not be complicated; we just want to hear you singing something you enjoy & demonstrates your voice. Your solo can be from a musical, a folk song or an art song. Please provide a copy of the sheet music for the accompanist.

Auditions are by appointment. Contact our office today—email: sing@daydreaminc.net; SUBJECT LINE: VOCAL AUDITION
