Musical. Book and lyrics by Jennifer Kirkeby. Music by Shirley Mier. Based on the book by Ludwig Bemelmans.

"In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines lived twelve little girls in two straight lines." So begins this delightful story of Madeline's Christmas! The day begins like any other day. Miss Clavel takes the twelve little girls on their morning walk. They go to the zoo and then back to school for their French history lesson. Suddenly disaster strikes when everyone gets the flu! Everyone that is, except for the ever-resilient Madeline. Saddened that they may not be able to go home for Christmas, the girls and Miss Clavel take to their beds. But on Christmas Eve, the adventure begins when there is a knock at the front door…”

NEW VOCAL PROGRAM FOR MEN & WOMEN!!!
PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE WORKSHOP
Designed for a small group of experienced singers age 14-19 [both men
and women], this auditioned workshop is intended to give young
performers the opportunity to sing in small ensembles with other serious voice
students. During the 12 week semester, we will study duets, trios and
full scenes from various musical theater and opera productions both
musically and dramatically. These selections will be presented in a public
concert at the end of the semester. Through these selections, we will
also explore the unique challenges of blending timbre and harmony in
small ensemble singing. Please note, this workshop is meant to be a
supplement for serious vocal study and though not required, preference may
be given to those actively studying with a voice teacher.
Day: MONDAY EVENINGS
Time: 6:00p.m.-7:30p.m.

Audition Requirements
The audition process for the vocal program is simple. Our auditions are a forum to get acquainted with you, hear your voice, and determine your placement in our program. Choose a solo that you like. Songs need not be complicated, we just want to hear you singing something you enjoy & demonstrates your voice. Please prepare a legitimate musical theatre piece. Please provide a copy of the sheet music for the accompanist.
Auditions are by appointment. Contact our office today— email: sing@daydreaminc.net
